The cord was a USB cord and I wasn't equipped in this room to use it. With everything displayed I still had the power cord left over. Well, there, it is all done! Well, actually no. The instructions came in handy here because it wasn't exactly obvious how the rod should fit into the ship. Now that you've seen every side of the ship, I figured it would be a good time to actually attach it to the base. One more shot of the opposite side of the ship. Let's take a look at the back of the ship. I got pictures of the ship from multiple angles so you can see all of its intricate detail. Let's take a look at this detailed figure. I wanted to save the best for last, so it was time to inspect the mothership. When it is all laid out the collector's edition looks really cool. Since I had everything out of the box, I figured I'd take some pictures of it all neatly arranged. Here we have some instructions which at the time I wasn't particularly interested in. Clearly this was would be a base to display the Mothership. You'll notice on top that there is a small hole in the rock. The story trailer for the game explains this rock's significance in the greater Homeworld lore. The rock is a replica of the one that inspired the journey into space. This rock piece on the other hand I was familiar with. Let's take a closer look at everything in this second part of the box.Īt this point I wasn't quite sure what this little rod was. As I delved into the box, It seems Gearbox recognizes that too.Ĭlearly the highlight of the collection is the replica mothership. I had played the original Homeworld and the motherships were easily the most memorable part of the game. I enjoyed looking at some of the concept art for the motherships in particular. It's a little larger than I expected but it is still a small book. There is some information about the history of the Homeworld series and quite a bit of concept art for the original game. I can't open the art book, but I can tell you what is inside of it. Let's take a closer look at the art book and the key chain. I looked around for a way to open, but it wasn't entirely obvious.Īfter turning the box upside down and looking over it, I found this lip. The box is a nice blue and white color and looks pretty slick. It also said that all of the collector's editions have already been pre-ordered, so if you want one and haven't already snagged an order, you are likely going to have to get it secondhand. We got a note with the collector's edition that this particular one was the first one off the assembly line so that was pretty awesome. You can join me in my journey to see what came with it!Īfter being handed the collector's edition I needed to find a space to unbox everything, so I found this empty room a few doors down. The collector's edition arrived in the office today so we had the opportunity to unbox it. Late last week, we learned more about the project in the team's development diary. The Homeworld Remastered Collection is headed for release on February 25.
